**Butterflies: Finding Love Through A Child's Heart
Love Through A Child's Heart FilesBut it all begins with forgiveness, because to heal the world, we first have to heal ourselves. And to heal the kids, we first have to heal the child within, each and everyone of us. -Michael Jackson, Oxford Lecture, March 2001Michael Jackson spoke on many occasions and wrote messages to his fans about love, forgiveness and the care of our children, but it wasn't until I read the words from his lecture at Oxford that I truly began to understand within what love and forgiveness really meant. I knew that the first steps to healing would not be easy. My heart was in bondage to depression and it would take my own children to awaken my inner child. Through them I have been able to see the colors of the butterflies again.   Looking at a butterfly, one can be captivated by its beauty, but what we don't think about is the caterpillar it once was. How did the butterfly become so beautiful? The butterfly had to go through a...

Love Through A Child's Heart Files(As seen in the December,2010 Issue of MJTP's Official eMagazine: The Jam Cafe' - Keeping Michael's Legacy Alive.)   My goal is to be able to stop childhood hunger, to be able to donate food to my local soup kitchens, to help feed those people that have to go there every day. -Katie Stagliano  Katie Stagliano’s story begins in 2008, when she was only nine years old. Her school engaged their students in a nationwide gardening incentive, where the students were given cabbage seedlings donated by Bonnie Plants 3rd Grade Cabbage Program to grow at home. Katie nurtured her cabbage seedlings as instructed, without the help of special soils or gardening products. This may sound like a story out of a child's fairytale book, but to her surprise the cabbage began to grow into a magnificent 40-pound cabbage.      It...

Remembering Michael: A Sunflower Garden Journal
Love Through A Child's Heart FilesRemembering Michael  Sunflowers have long been known for their colossal height, vibrant, circular blooms and tasty, nutritional seed treats. Nowhere have these majestic annuals become more symbolic than amidst the Michael Jackson fan community. On May 12, 2010, Lisa Marie Presley posted this message to the MJ fans on her MySpace page:Greetings MJ Fans....While visiting him a few days ago at Forest Lawn , Riley and I couldn't help but notice that , while there are a few bouquets , candles and gifts there is a very large empty space around him and in front of him that could use a whole lot more. While , I am sure that the staff at The Holly Terrace do their very best to place what is sent and what is placed at the door at his tomb , I thought you might like to know that he would want and deserves more than what is there and I had an idea....... The Future of Michael Jackson's Legacy
"Together, let us create a symphony of hearts, marveling at the miracle of our children and basking in the beauty of love." – Michael JacksonMichael Jackson touched the hearts of people from all walks of life, from all countries, all races and all ages. Some of those he has touched the most are the ones we refer to on the MJTP as the New Generation of MJ fans; those of you who are 17 years of age and under. He has inspired you, taught you valuable lessons about life and love, and in some cases changed your life. Many of you feel a special connection to Michael, and you should, because he lived for the children of the world.A story he told at Oxford University in 2001 really demonstrates how dedicated he was to his young fans:"About twelve years ago, when I was just about to start my Bad tour, a little boy came with his parents to visit me at home in California. He was dying of cancer and he told me how much he loved my music and me. His parents told me that he wasn't going to...
The Inner Child: Gary, Indiana 2010
Love Through A Child's Heart FilesNumerous articles have been written about Michael Jackson's childhood home in Gary, Indiana. Experiences and heart-felt words fill each page of those who have shared their stories with us. I mused about writing an article about my trip to Gary, often questioning myself about how I could convey my own feelings about my pilgrimage to Michael's childhood home. My conclusion: I should write from the heart. Here is my story from the pages of my journal... On Friday, August 27, my husband sent me a text at 7am stating, "Pack your luggage; you are going to Indiana!" At this point, you have to understand, I had already accepted the fact that I would have to miss this year's events due to budget issues. So when the text came in I reacted as if I had won a million dollars! I was so excited and scared at the same time because I would have to make this nine-hour drive alone.  MapQuest is one of those applications that require you...
The Who'z Bad?! Files: Make the Pledge to a Life of Peace
Love Through A Child's Heart Files  Who'z Bad?! Enough to Live a Life of Peace and Non-Violence?! Michael Jackson‘s 18-minute short film "BAD" hit the airways when I was seventeen in 1987. I can remember how empowered I felt by listening to the lyrics, We can change the world tomorrow. This could be a better place. If you don’t like what I’m sayin’, then won’t you slap my face…because I’m Bad, I’m Bad…You know it…You know!  And when you watched the video, you felt as if Michael was giving you the courage to be yourself. You could be "BAD" even when standing up for what was right and good in the world.    Michael describes the song best in his 1988 autobiography Moonwalk: "Bad" is a song about the street. It's about this kid from a bad neighborhood who gets to go away to a private school. He comes back to the old neighborhood when he's on a break from school and the kids from the neighborhood start giving...

Media outlets, with their uncanny sensationalism, have lead many into a fabricated web of deception when it comes to the truth about Michael Jackson. For example, the rumor Michael was bleaching his skin circulated through the press like wildfire. Truth: In 1986, Michael was diagnosed with a rare skin condition called Vitiligo, which was also conclusive with his autopsy report in 2009.   Could you image growing up in a glass house or a plastic bubble for the whole world to see? Well, Michael's life from the age of five to adulthood was well...

Working on the songs was also an opportunity for the students to learn new words in English.Below...
What's Love Got To Do With It?
Love Through A Child's Heart Files(As seen in the February, 2011 Issue of MJTP's Official eMagazine: The Jam Cafe' - Keeping Michael's Legacy Alive.)   Just a few weeks ago, I was riding in my car listening to the oldies station when the song, "What's Love Got To Do With It" streamed across my speakers. It was one of those songs you may hear throughout your childhood that seems to linger in a forgotten interval in the brain, only to be reunited with the conscious part of the mind. Here is an excerpt from that song:    "Oh what’s love got to do, got to do with itWhat's love but a second hand emotionWhat's love got to do, got to do with itWho needs a heartWhen a heart can be broken"-Tina Turner Michael Jackson with Tina TurnerReally, what does love have to do with it? We will all come face to face in our lifetime with that enchanting, joyous, happy, romantic, caring,...
Youth Helping The Little School That Could!
Love Through A Child's Heart Files   When an article about a school in Phoenix, Arizona (USA) was posted on Michael's Angels, some of our youth jumped at an opportunity to volunteer. In the same spirit of generosity that Michael was well-known for, these young MJ fans decided to take a proactive approach to do what they could to help others.Children First Academy (CFA) Phoenix is the largest school in the United States for homeless children. The children attending CFA go every day without life’s very basic necessities, such as clothing, water, food, air conditioning, or even a stable home environment. In fact, 95% of these children are homeless; some live in shelters or even on the streets. The CFA assists at-risk and homeless youth with not only academic needs, but also with medical, dental, health, nutritional, and emotional support. Here is an insert from their Facebook page, as only they can explain:"Children First Academy often referred to as the “little...
