Hi guys
in case you are having problems, has anyone received notification that their opus is being sent?

I received an email stating that it will not be received as advertised, but no shipping notice. It was supposed to come with 2 white gloves to prevent it from being messed up when handling it and it was also supposed to have the 3-D reality card, but will not. Instead, we're supposed to get an email with a code at the end of January 2010, directly us to a website for the interactive 3-D deal.

Even though I know I'll still love it, my feathers are pretty ruffled by them changing it AFTER we've already ordered and paid for it! Anywho, I plan to decorate the ONE glove that comes with it with Swarovski crystal rhinestones (I used to use those a LOT making angel ornaments).

I'm sorry to hear customs is being a pain getting yours to you. Hope it gets there soon.

Oh, and don't forget to tell us all about the official event! I'm looking forward to hearing about it!

I didn't know that they weren't sending the cards with the opus? That's pretty bad and also false advertising if they havent got the cards, coz they were supposed to have had this all sorted before the opus' release?
Hmm, I will call them Monday and find out what exactly is coming with it.

I posted the email I received from them about only sending one glove and no 3-D card. It's in the comments section of this group if you want to have it handy when you call them. So far, a lot of people have said the same thing; it's false advertising and I would think that's illegal in most countries as it is here in the USA.

Hmm, I will check that out coz I will throw a fit if that is the case.
This was endorsed by Michael before he died so Opus really should live up to what he wanted to deliver.

i got an email off them the other day saying

And im not happy what so ever as nat2808mj2908 it is false advertising. and not many people have a printer so what happends then? not happy at all we paid for 2 gloves and the card to come with it and it dont

If you pre-ordered the Michael Jackson Opus thru www.krakenopus.com based on the original advertisement, be sure to FILE A COMPLAINT with the U.S. FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en#last based on the following facts (1) the Michael Jackson Opus was advertised at a pre-order SPECIAL PRICE of $165 + $25 S/H only if ordered thru the Kraken Opus site or Ticketmaster, which "special price" is HIGHER than the B&N price of $134.99, and B&N is offering FREE shipping, which brings the price even farther BELOW the "special" pre-order price from Kraken Opus, (2) the Opus was advertised to include TWO gloves for handling to prevent it from being soiled, (3) the Opus was to include a pull-out centerfold of the Memorial Wall signing, and (4) the Opus was to include an Opus 3-D Reality Card, all of which has been arbitrarily changed by Opus Media Group, Ltd. This deceptive form of advertisement is commonly known as a "bait and switch". PLEASE FILE YOUR COMPLAINT ASAP!

This is a matter of PRINCIPLE! I'm sure the book, in and of itself, is spectacular. HOWEVER, we pre-ordered based on the original advertisement, and we are entitled to get what we paid for!

Thanks Michele, I will file a complaint about this and I will also call them today.
It's just not acceptable at all. We pay all this money for what? Not get what we thought we were buying? Ridiculous!
