My Connection to Michael
What do you love most about Michael?:
That he could fight against the laws of gravity, that he made the Art itself dreaming and flying. That he was humble, sensitive and religious. An extraordinary father, son, brother, uncle friend and humanitarian.
That he changed my life and made me meet the most extraordinary people in my life
Did you ever see Michael in person?:

My Thoughts About Anything:
The Poem I wrote for him for his 51th Birthday Celebration in London.

THIS IS NOT IT (29 AUGUST 2009) by Irene Sparacello (© All right reserved)

Like the Moon and on the Moon, like a Chosen Star

Under which you were born

Light and Fabulous

You have always been there

Small and Magnificent

From the One of Five to the one of All

You Moonwalked along our youths

Moving forward with innovation and sliding back into dreams

You have always been there

And it felt magic and it felt safe

But one day we were told

The firmament had been deceived

What went wrong In the Sky of June?

Had Venus maybe misread the Moon?

That day that time itself should deny any calendar

Your long eyelashes bowed on your noble eyes

Though your light shines still visible and bright

We are all Jackson for love

But our hearts have been summoned to a familiar grief

That no blood would share

Our dumb desire to seize your hands to call your name

To rip the moon, to black out June

You were not there anymore

The compass that once pointed to London is now still

We have been forbidden our date

For 50 days you would have given, we would have shared

As a multitude as one

You should have been there

But we, enamoured, never full enough of love, still ask for more

We here applaud this August day that gifted you to this Earth

Where you dreamed music, where you blessed dance

Today is a day that every calendar should celebrate.

Today it's your birthday. Happy Birthday Michael!

We are witness to a dream. There’s no proof we need

We lean to the invisible that our message will deliver

‘Cause we know that you are here “where there is love"

Unwrapping like a child our lifelong present

Hitting the highest notes of your glittery eternity,

Thrilling through and making us “stand together as one”

We just know

You will always be there

And we just know

This is Not It!
