Light of my Life Self Discovery Before your spirit earned its wings and learned how to fly, You’d perform for the masses, yet offstage you were quite shy. I imagine, then, that it wasn’t easy for you to write this book, To open the door to your soul and let us peer round it for a look. Please, beloved, let me assure you, you had no need to fear; Dancing the Dream has made you, in my heart, even more dear. With every page turned, with each poem and short story, I’m left utterly amazed at your ancient wisdom and glory. You were just thirty-four when the book was published in ’92, Yet the words seem to stem from someone centuries older than you. They said you had an ‘old soul’ when you were young; maybe it was true, Lifetimes must have passed ‘til Gaia became your sweetheart, soft and blue. Beyond that magical lens of perception, you knew, you could feel that we are all one; You sensed the joy in a dolphin’s dance, and the pain of a gull drowned in oil and done. You realized that hidden inside of everyone is the spark of something divine, That we are all angelic beings; inside our hearts, sacred light does shine. Sweetie, do you know now that one would need a great deal of ingenuity To write parables such as yours which explain deep concepts with simplicity? Trust through a squirrel’s gradual approach and loss of hesitance; A little fish who’s thirsty for the Almighty’s omnipresence; Elephants’ eternal movement and refusal to fall for life’s reverence. And love, admiration for children’s innocence, joy, and wonder is plain to see, Rendering the belief in the illusion created by dark forces into a mystery. I apologize if I’ve made you blush since you’re so modest, hon, But your writings are simply sage and so filled with compassion. Why worry about exposing your soul to us when it’s quite a beauty? I understand, though, the fear of judgment and being interpreted cruelly. We’re so sorry, beloved, that we didn’t accept this exquisite invitation before, Didn’t discover your lovely being or heed your messages ‘til you weren’t here anymore. But now that your self doesn’t have any physical boundaries to keep us apart, Please have no fear, reach out to us again; we’ll just listen with the heart. --Love, Denise Anne From An Angel's Beauty by ChildOfTheMoon777
